To recover the life of the city, generating spaces for recreation and where it is possible and enjoyable to play and perform physical activity, as well as to carry out cultural and educational activities that encourage coexistence and promote healthy and sustainable lifestyles.
The term “active design” combines all the actions taken by urban planning and architecture stakeholders to encourage or multiply opportunities to be physically active and provide easy access to a healthy diet.
“It has been nearly 10 years since WHO published its Global Recommandations on Physical Activity and Health. This means that nearly a decade ago, countries and the general public have learned that physical inactivity was identified as the fourth leading factor for global mortality.”
