Following a period of financial difficulties and a canceled 2023 edition, equissima® returned in 2024 with a new, reimagined concept and a redesigned approach – an equestrian festival – one that embraces the characteristics of festivalisation of sport events, with free access and a great deal of available activities alongside sports competitions.
swansea para sport festival: an actionpacked and inclusive festival!
Built on the success of the two initial editions, the Swansea Para Sport Festival 2024 returned with an expanded programme combining participatory events with high-level competitive events.
From 8 to 13 July, the Para Sport Festival, organised by Disability Sport Wales, Welsh National Governing and/or British Governing Bodies of sport, Swansea Council, and local insport clubs, delivered high quality,
the ‘GRAND CYCLE TOKYO’ project: cycling in a festive atmosphere!
“THE ROAD RACE TOKYO”, “STADIUM FESTA”, “RAINBOW BRIDGE RIDE”, and “MULTISPORTS” are all part of the “GRAND CYCLE TOKYO” project. The aim is to create momentum in bringing together sports and a festive atmosphere around cycling. As the co-organiser of this initiative, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government supports the “GRAND CYCLE TOKYO” organizing committee, including in the areas of finance and communication.
birmingham 2022 festival: a celebration of creativity
“Sport is just the beginning”, according to a video clip from the Birmingham 2022 Festival! This sporting competition, (one of the major sports events in the world, which gathers athletes and para-athletes), is an opportunity, a pretext to do something bigger, for the city, for the region, for the people. The whole world came to Birmingham during the 11-day competition, some a bit before, some stayed a bit after, but Birmingham opened itself to the world, as much as to its own population for … no less than six months. The months of preparation leading up to the event also provided many opportunities to create relationships, develop skills, identify talents, inspire vocations, and anticipate a legacy.
